One Way? Or Another...

Updated: May 1, 2023

Is there really only one way to solve a challenge? At Promotional Partners we like innovative approaches. In fact, visionary is one of the words in our tagline, because ideas must become solutions.

Dream.

Dare to carve out new pathways.

Our friends at Wake Tech Community College have 3 innovative programs that we hope will inspire you to get involved:

  • The Fostering Bright Futures program is a student success program that addresses the overwhelming need for a comprehensive support structure to assist our community's foster youth in making the transition from foster care to independent young adulthood.

  • The Minority Male Success Initiative (MMSI) is a system-wide effort designed to enhance the educational success of all minority males currently enrolled in the NC Community College System. Wake Tech is one of several community colleges participating in the MMSI. In line with this systemic initiative, Wake Tech’s Pathways Success Scholars Program’s Vision is to increase minority male student academic progression and program success rates, by way of mentoring through exposure to academic, social and career-based activities and opportunities. Student participants can expect to engage in on-campus personal and group success coaching, leadership development, and other relevant programming that promotes academic development and personal success.

  • The Nest food pantry opened in 2014 to assist Wake Tech students impacted by food insecurity and hunger. The Nest is a free resource available to all current Wake Tech students, where students can shop monthly and partake in special dining initiatives and food education. In 2019, Food Lion presented Wake Tech with a generous $125,000 gift to expand college efforts to help students and their families combat food insecurity. The Nest also offers online and advanced ordering, allowing student shoppers to build custom orders unique to their personal preferences and dietary needs with pick-up options at various Wake Tech campuses.

Wake Tech is your community college. Read this blog post to learn more about the students, the college, their ranking and the impact to the community.
