Mocha is here to stay, for at least a year.
Specifically Mocha Mousse.
Pantone has announced the 2025 color of the year is Mocha Mousse, meant to evoke feelings of comfort and remind us of cacao, chocolate and coffee!
Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute was quoted as saying the color choice is “Underpinned by our desire for everyday pleasures, [Mocha Mousse] expresses a level of thoughtful indulgence. ” She elaborated that the choice was “sophisticated and lush, yet at the same time an unpretentious classic” and noted that it presents a “tasteful touch of glamour” while it “envelops us with its sensorial warmth.”
The color institute also pointed to the need for harmony as inspiration for its color pick.
The color is indeed light enough to be a neutral in branding, decorating and apparel choices since many colors can be adapted around it.
